Size guide

We suggest you go by bub's weight, not age. If bub is between sizes, go up. A bigger nappy gives more room and more absorbency, especially overnight.

  • Size 1 Newborn: up to 5kg, 216 nappies
  • Size 2 Infant: 4–8kg, 192 nappies
  • Size 3 Crawler: 8–11kg, 176 nappies
  • Size 4 Toddler: 10–15kg, 144 nappies

Signs it's time to size up: red marks on the thighs or tummy, leaks up the back, or tabs that only just reach.

What's in them (and what isn't)

Next to bub's skin: a soft, smooth top layer that pulls wetness away fast.

The quick-dry layer: fibres that spread wetness evenly, so it doesn't pool in one spot.

The absorbent core: cellulose pulp plus a super-absorbent that locks liquid away as a gel. It's the same proven material used in almost every disposable nappy.

The stretchy bits: soft elastic in the waist and leg cuffs, for a snug fit without red marks.

The outer cover: a soft, water-resistant film, printed with water-based inks.

Which size should I choose?

Go by weight, not age. If bub is between sizes, go up a size for more room and better overnight absorbency. Our size guide above has the full breakdown.

What happens when bub grows into the next size?

Just change the size in your account before your next box ships. There's no new order and no fuss.

Can I pause, skip or cancel?

Anytime, from your account. There are no lock-in contracts and no cancellation fees.

Are they good for sensitive skin?

They're dermatologically tested, with 0% parabens, fragrance, lotions or elemental chlorine and a soft, breathable cover, which is what we'd look for on sensitive skin. Every baby is different, though. If bub has eczema or a rash that isn't settling, check in with your GP or child health nurse.

How many nappies will we go through in a month?

Newborns can get through 8–12 a day, and that drops as they grow. Each box is sized to be about a month's supply for that stage. Running short or have extra? Change how often your box arrives in your account: monthly, fortnightly, every 6 weeks or every 2 months.

Do they really last 12 hours?

They offer up to 12 hours of leak protection, tested by our manufacturer and by the families who use them. For overnight, the right fit matters most. If you're getting leaks, try going up a size.

Founder story

I spent 20 years caring for babies. Then I made the nappy I wanted for my own.

Hi, I'm Bek. I'm a registered nurse, and I've spent more than 20 years in maternity and child health, which means a lot of newborns and a lot of nappies. I'm also a mum of three, so I know the other side too: the leaks at 2am, the outfit changes and the realisation at 9pm that you're down to your last two.

Mum and I started From Day Dot in 2017 because motherhood is hard enough already. These nappies are everything I'd look for as a nurse: soft, gentle on new skin, nothing extra, and built to last the night. Then we made them turn up at your door, because the mental load is real and this is one thing you shouldn't have to carry.

Motherhood isn't hard because we're doing it wrong. It's hard because we're carrying a lot. Let us take the nappies.
